Simon Spelling is beginning his FIFTH season in his second tenure as Medina Boys Soccer Head Coach.
He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Akron where he played soccer and graduated with a degree in Political Science. He is a member of the Social Studies Department at Medina High School teaching AP Government and World History. Originally from England, Coach Spelling is married to Kristine and lives in Strongsville Ohio.
“I am very fortunate to be coaching in a community such as Medina where the support for the school and soccer is second to none. There are many great students and many great players that make their teachers and coaches look good. I hope to create an environment where each player will realize their potential and develop life log memories.”

Assistant Coach : Jim Synk 

Jimmy Synk is a graduate of Strongsville High School and later graduated from Baldwin Wallace University where he played soccer for four years. He has been actively involved in youth coaching for the past 10 years and currently holds a USSF C license. 
“There is no one coaching high school soccer in Northeast Ohio that has an assistant as dedicated, hardworking and talented as Jimmy Synk.  No matter the task or the time, he is a rock that the players and coaches can rely on to be there when it matters,” said head coach Simon Spelling.
